Packard Equipment Co., Inc., DBA Packard Inc. was incorporated in June of 1959 in Lima, Ohio by Albert Taft. Packard got its start in the HVACR industry by selling surplus motors and parts from the motor manufacturers.
Tom Campbell joined the company in 1972 and began developing a product line from the motors that he found to be commodity items to the HVACR industry. He also developed the first Packard stock catalog.
In 1984 Tom moved the home office from Los Angeles, CA to Atlanta, GA. In 1989 Tom bought the company from Mr. Taft and made a shift from being a surplus distributor to a full line Master Distributor of Heating, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Appliance Parts.
Packard is a Master Distributor for A.O. Smith, Fasco, Lau, Morrill, and Electric Motors and Specialties. Packard is also a major distributor of Capacitors, Transformers, Contactors, Relays, Fan Blades, Blower Wheels and many other products for the HVACR industry.
Packard is known for being the source for a wide range of OEM direct replacement motors and parts. We are also known for our strong Personal Customer Service. We still believe in building relationships with our customers.
